Performance Days Munich 2026 Spotlights Regenerative Polymer Solutions

Dear Colleague,

At Performance Days Munich 2026 (18–19 March, Messe München), the industry focus is shifting beyond recycling alone — toward what happens to polymers that never make it back into the recycling stream.

This year, Performance Days has specifically selected and invited BioFuture Additives to present at its Innovation Center, an invitation-only area reserved for technologies considered strategically important to the future of performance materials. BioFuture has been provided a complimentary, high-visibility corner booth, positioned for strong foot traffic among hundreds of presenting companies and thousands of relevant, paying B2B attendees.

Why this matters

Across performance textiles and polymers, material loss occurs throughout the product lifecycle — during use, washing, abrasion, fragmentation, disposal, and environmental leakage. Textiles are recognised as the second-largest source of plastic pollution globally, driven largely by synthetic fibres shedding into water, soil, and air. This results in both microplastics and larger polymer fragments that persist in the environment for centuries.

BioFuture Additives addresses this problem directly.

Its advanced bioconversion technology enables plastics and textiles that escape recycling to regenerate back to fertile biomass within a few years, rather than persisting for 500–1,000 years. The process works under microbial-rich end-of-life environments, including landfill, marine, soil, and industrial composting conditions — preventing long-term environmental accumulation.

During use, materials retain the durability and performance required for demanding applications. The technology is recycling-friendly, compatible with virgin and recycled polymers, and can also be applied to recycled material streams.

Commercially viable. Regulator-ready.

BioFuture Additives has met and exceeded key international standards, providing confidence for brands, regulators, and consumers, including:

  • ASTM biodegradation standards (landfill, industrial composting, marine, soil, plant toxicity)
  • ISO quality and environmental management systems
  • REACH, SVHC, and RoHS compliance
  • FDA compliance for applicable food-contact and consumer-use applications
  • Intertek Green Leaf Certification
  • Food contact and food safety compliance, where applicable

Notably, BioFuture currently offers the only known technology worldwide that converts polymer-based products into fertile biomass at commercial scale, rather than allowing them to fragment into persistent pollution.

See it at Performance Days

Performance Days Munich 2026 continues to be the platform where next-generation material strategies are defined — not as concepts, but as solutions ready for real-world adoption.

BioFuture Additives will be presenting throughout the event in the Innovation Center.
