The Regenerative Era Has Begun

Dear Sustainability Leaders, Procurement Heads, and Partners in Progress,

Every sustainable breakthrough starts with a question.
Ours was simple:
Why do so many "eco-friendly" plastics fail in the real world?

From that question came Biodegradable Future.
But after years of global testing, failed alternatives, and an accelerating environmental crisis, a deeper truth became clear:
The term "biodegradable" is no longer accurate, actionable, or aligned with what science, legislation, or the planet truly demands.

That's why we're proud to introduce our next chapter:

BioFuture Additives — A Scientifically Validated, Regenerative Platform Built for Industrial Scale and Real-World Impact.

What We Learned Along the Way

Through research and manufacturing partnerships spanning five continents, we tested everything from PLA to oxo-degradable plastics, enzymatic degradation methods, and compostables.
The results were consistently flawed:

  • PLA, despite its plant-based appeal, only breaks down in industrial composters at 58°C+ and contaminates PET recycling streams, making it incompatible with global recycling infrastructure.
  • Oxo-degradables fragment into microplastics, not biomass, and are now banned across the EU and flagged globally as greenwashing.
  • Enzymatic additives require narrowly controlled conditions and remain commercially unscalable due to high costs and complex activation needs.

The world didn't need another degradation gimmick.
It needed controlled, complete micro-conversion into regenerative biomass.

That's what we built.

The Science of BioFuture Additives

Our proprietary additive platform integrates seamlessly into conventional plastic resins — including PET, PE, PP, PS, PVC, and PLA — without altering their appearance, function, or mechanical performance.
Products enhanced with BioFuture Additives remain fully recyclable during their service life.

But at end of life, when exposed to landfill, compost, or marine environments, something extraordinary happens:

Microbial Bioconversion Begins.

  • Naturally occurring microbes detect and break down the polymer matrix.
  • Through a controlled micro-conversion process, plastics are transformed into simple, non-toxic outputs:
    • CO₂
    • Water
    • Biomass — a material chemically and physically similar to natural organic matter.

This is true regenerationreturning synthetic polymers back into the biological cycle, without microplastics, without toxins, and without leaving harmful legacy waste.

Third-Party Validations Include:

  • ASTM D5511 (anaerobic landfill biodegradation)
  • ASTM D6691 (marine biodegradation)
  • ASTM D5338 (industrial compost degradation)
  • Intertek Green Leaf Certification
  • Plus compliance with ISO, RoHS, REACH, FDA, and EU Food Safety regulations.

What Makes BioFuture Additives Different from "Biodegradable" Materials

  • Non-Oxo: No chemical fragmentation. No microplastic pollution.
  • Marine Viable: One of the only technologies validated for safe seawater bioconversion.
  • Recyclable Pre-Use: Fully compatible with existing recycling collection and reprocessing streams.
  • Undisturbed Shelf Life: No compromise on strength, flexibility, or storage stability.
  • Cost-Effective: Only 10–15% raw material cost increase compared to PLA's 200–300%+ increase.

In short:
We solve for environmental performance, compliance, recycling integration, and commercial viability — all at once.

Why the Rebrand Matters

Legislation across the US, UK, EU, and Asia is rapidly tightening to restrict vague green claims and penalize non-functioning "biodegradable" materials.
Companies risk:

  • Legal action under Green Claims Directives (EU) and FTC Green Guides (USA)
  • Rejection by recycling operators
  • Erosion of consumer trust

We rebranded to BioFuture Additives because what we offer is scientifically distinct.
It deserves — and demands — to be judged by what it does, not by what it's called.

The Regenerative Era Has Begun

This is not just sustainability.
This is regeneration — of material cycles, brand trust, and ecosystems.

BioFuture Additives is not about degradation.
It is about designing polymers from the start to undergo microbial bioconversion, ensuring that if recycling fails, nature succeeds.

We are pioneering a system where plastics regenerate into life-compatible biomass instead of persisting as pollution.
No microplastics.
No chemical residues.
Just a return to nature's cycles.

Thank you for being part of this evolution.

Together, we can build a world where every product either completes the recycling loop — or completes its natural return through regeneration.

We invite you to join us in leading the most credible, scalable, and certified pathway toward a future free from microplastics.

With respect, clarity, and conviction,
Leviticus Bentley & Dean Lynch
Co-Founders, BioFuture Additives
